Characters

Lily
Female red cat, sister of Vitali and real star of the comic. She wears a red collar and has big, green eyes, incredibly long whiskers and a bit of a temper.  Smart, fast, and strong, she adores hunting and is totally in love with her daddy, the human Giuseppe.
When her brother died, she adopted as her son the little red cat Stelvio, but she happens to lose her patience with her quite a bit.
Lily loves eating fish, long walks (even on leash, because she's a well educated cat) and a lot of cuddles!

First appearance in the comic: Inside the box

Vitali
Called also "Angelface", he's the most adorable cat that you can encounter!
Vitali wears a blue and red collar, has blue-green angelic eyes and his semi-long, curl red fur is incredibly soft and makes him look even more adorable.
He loves to play and cuddle, and although he's not a good a hunter, when he sees chicken he becomes a savage beast! He really does love chicken taste, yes.
He's the brother of Lily and died of a fever of unknown origin. We brought him to the vet and he struggled with the fever for three days, in the ambulatory, but in the end he died.
Anyway, he returns in the comic as a guardian angel (or a spirit?).

First appearance in the comic: Inside the box

Stelvio
He's the ugliest of the cat group, the younger one, and he's also a red cat. Who is he? Stelvio, the one that we found in the engine of a car, right after Vitali's death. Seems like a gift from the heavens, right? RIGHT? Well, no: he's never silent, constantly meowing, eating too much selectively and also dislikes to play with us. Oh, and he's a coward. What kind of cat is that? Are we sure that he is a cat at all?
Stelvio has brown eyes and wears a black collar.
And we love him.
Also, and this is a strange thing, he's a female, but we can't help but refer to him as a male because when he was young we thought that he was a male (well, you know, full red females are quite rare as cats, it's strange to have two).

First appearance in the comic: Stelvio (Part 1)

The pigeons - Pidgey and Dean
Pidgey and dean are two rescued pigeons that we raised up. Simply pigeons.
Their favorite food is probably corn, but they like also other cereals.
To know their story (and see their photos!), you can read the little special dedicated to them that starts HERE

Bobby
Is that a dog? In a webcomic about cats? Definitely yes! Bobby is a big maremma sheepdog Calabrian sheepdog, like all the true sheepdogs he lives among the sheeps, is the dog of our neighbor and he loves cats! After a bad starting, he and Lily became good friends, while Stelvio (coward!) is still very afraid of him.

First appearance in the comic: The white death

Dad

Father of the two sisters and adoptive dad of the red cats, he's a good man and loves animals (especially cats). His favorite animal is Lily.
Loves to cook (and he's really great at it!) and manual works, including building kennels for cats and dogs, inventing elevators for bird cages and prepare delicious homemade dishes for pets.
His dream is to have, like, one thousand cats.
First appearance in the comic: My father and Lily

Little Sister

She's the cuteness incarnated, but with a lot of  common sense! The youngest of the two sister, she's an artist, a writer, plays different instruments, knows three languages, sings, is a pretty good dancer (or at least Just Dance 2014 says so...) and is the brilliant mind behind the arrangement and the illustration of the strips of "Two Red Cats" (with the help of her sister!).
Her favorite animals are dogs, but she virtually likes almost any species on the planet, so, cats included. She's a bit of a geek, but her favorite-above-all series are Hannibal and Steven Universe.

Big Sister
The one who always wears hat and t-shirt, even when there are 0° degrees! She's the elder sister and the one that colors the strips of Two Red Cats and cares for the website and photos.
She's an artist too, so she occasionally draws some illustrations for this blog too, even if usually she prefers to create more complex illustrations. Obsessed with NBC Hannibal, she has a big blog about Hannibal fanarts, the legendary  Hannibal Artblog  (in which, of course, she often collaborates with her Little Sister to draw more and better art!).
Her favorite animals are dogs, but she's completely obsessed by goldfish!
Her favorite cat was Vitali, now that he's dead her favorite is Lily.

First appearance in the comic: Photos

Gatto

Gatto is a feral cat and a good friend of Lily. He's a good hunter, but he's also pretty small for being an adult, male cat.
He dislikes the camera, so we have very little photos of him, but he really loves kibbles and pasta with broccoli! Stelvio hates him (and we don't know why, because Gatto is a gentlecat).

First appearance in the comic: Gatto

Mio

Annarita's cat. Annarita is an ex-classmate of the Little Sister and this is her cat. The Big and Little sister helped Annarita to find a cat to adopt, contacting local volunteers, and she chose this grey and white feline, who had this strange zig-zag tail, probably from a nasty fracture that didn't heal well. Mio is a very loud, angry cat, that behaves in... strange... ways.

First appearance in the comic: Stelvio (Part 1)

Disgrazia

Her name means "disgrace", "unlucky event", and is a pretty fitting description for her. We don't know her owner, since she's probably a feral cat. She only wants to steal Lily's food and usually she can be found in Annarita's trash can!
It was one hit of her claws that left the scar on Lily's nose bridge. Disgrazia and Lily hate each other with a passion, but the former managed to make the latter leave her territory.

First appearance in the comic: Fight!

Annarita
Ex-classmate and best friend of the Little Sister and owner of Mio, she's also the owner of a Maremma Sheepdog mix named Teo. Her favorite tv shows are Pretty Little Liar and Hannibal.
She's a nice, cute girl with a sadistic streak that loves fashion and cats. Seriously, she loves cats. Like, a lot. The only thing stopping her from owning more cats than hair on her head is Mio's jealousy, probably.
We see her cat even more than we see her anyway, since Mio always tries to sneak in Lily's territory to play with Stelvio.
